Professional proposal control

The document should be clear without exposing internal pricing logic.

A strong construction proposal explains what the contractor understands, what work is included, the exact price, when payment is due, what is excluded, and what happens next. It should support the sale and create a reliable project baseline without pretending to replace the final construction agreement.

01

Scope earns confidence

Give the client a readable project understanding and detailed scope instead of a thin total attached to a generic template.

02

Commercial terms stay intentional

Enter the exact total proposal price and build custom payment entries that add up to that total.

03

Approval creates a real gate

Keep proposal state and revisions visible, then require an approved, balanced proposal before converting the lead into a project.

Connected capabilities

Everything important stays attached to the work.

Use focused workflows for each responsibility without creating another isolated source of truth.

01

Lead-connected proposal

Begin with the client, contact, property, project type, budget context, and assigned salesperson already attached.

02

Detailed scope structure

Separate project understanding, scope of work, inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and next-step language. Selected eligible Pro and Business workspaces in the controlled rollout may begin with an optional AI-assisted draft that requires contractor review.

03

One total project price

Present the exact price selected by the estimator without exposing internal cost, overhead, contingency, or margin calculations.

04

Custom payment schedule

Name, price, and describe each payment entry; validation requires every entry to equal the proposal total together.

05

Secure issue and acceptance

Issue a complete proposal for the linked client. ProBuilder OS freezes and hash-binds that exact version, records authenticated electronic acceptance, and provides a downloadable signed receipt.

06

Controlled revisions

Track proposal status and create review-required revisions while preserving the original record and approval history.

Proposal workflow

Define, review, present, and hand off the approved baseline.

The proposal stays connected to the opportunity and becomes a required commercial input to the project rather than an abandoned PDF.

Start this workflow in ProBuilder OS
  1. 1

    Start from a qualified lead

Use the existing client, property, project, budget, assignment, activity, and discovery context.

  2. 2

    Author the complete proposal

Write the client-facing scope, enter one exact total, create the payment schedule, and define all boundaries.

  3. 3

    Issue for secure review

Issue only a complete draft. The client reviews the frozen version through a verified account, accepts the disclosed electronic-record terms, and receives a signed receipt. Superseded or expired versions cannot be accepted.

  4. 4

    Convert from the approved record

Use the approved total and exact payment schedule as required inputs to the new project handoff.

Questions, answered

What contractors should know.

What should a construction proposal include?

A construction proposal commonly includes contractor and client information, project understanding, detailed scope, inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, one clear total price, payment schedule, anticipated timing, validity, and a proposal acceptance section. A final construction agreement may require additional terms and legal review.

Does ProBuilder OS calculate the project price?

No. The estimator enters the exact total after completing the company's internal pricing work. A separate limited takeoff pilot can suggest selected plan counts for contractor review, but it does not calculate labor, material costs, or the proposal price. ProBuilder OS then structures the client-facing scope, payment terms, status, document, and handoff.

Can I control the payment schedule?

Yes. Add, remove, name, price, and describe payment entries for the way your company intends to bill. The entries must add up exactly to the proposal total before approval and project conversion.

Is proposal acceptance the construction agreement?

No. ProBuilder OS records authenticated acceptance of the exact issued proposal and provides a signed receipt. The disclosed acceptance requests preparation of a separate construction agreement; it does not authorize construction, require payment by itself, or replace a complete construction agreement or project-specific legal review.
