A better client experience

Good communication needs a source of truth.

Clients do not want more software; they want confidence. When photos arrive by text, invoices by email, schedule updates by phone, and change orders as PDFs, even a well-run job can feel disorganized. A client portal gives each important update a reliable home.

01

Progress feels visible

Give the homeowner a current project status, percent complete, summary, important dates, and recent updates.

02

Decisions stay accountable

Keep change orders, approvals, documents, and client questions attached to the project instead of scattered.

03

Internal work stays private

The client sees a purpose-built portal—not the same financial and operating workspace used by the project team.

Connected capabilities

Everything important stays attached to the work.

Use focused workflows for each responsibility without creating another isolated source of truth.

01

Project progress

Present current phase, progress, project summary, and important schedule dates in plain client-friendly language.

02

Payment visibility

Show payment milestones, invoice references, amounts, statuses, remaining balance, and relevant notes.

03

Change order review

Give clients visibility into proposed or approved changes, descriptions, cost impact, and schedule impact.

04

Shared documents

Keep client-facing contracts, plans, selections, warranties, and other project documents in one place.

05

Project messages

Let clients ask a question and preserve the conversation with the project instead of losing it in a phone thread.

06

Controlled access

Protect the portal behind sign-in and separate the client experience from internal company operations.

Client communication workflow

Publish the right update at the right level.

The portal creates a consistent place for project information without forcing the PM to duplicate the whole job record.

Questions, answered

What contractors should know.

What can a homeowner see in the client portal?

The current portal can show project progress, important dates, payment milestones, shared documents, change orders, approval states, and messages. Internal operating details remain in the builder workspace.

Is the client portal separate from the contractor dashboard?

Yes. Clients receive a dedicated experience with protected access. They do not enter the internal workspace used by owners, salespeople, estimators, project managers, and field teams.

Can clients approve change orders?

Yes. Authorized staff can publish a non-draft change order to the client experience, where the linked client can record a project-scoped decision. Broader selection approvals and signature workflows remain separate planned capabilities.

Does the portal replace all client communication?

It creates a dependable source of truth, but it does not eliminate personal communication. It helps calls, meetings, and emails end with a clear record the client and project team can revisit.
