Construction daily report software

Capture every jobsite day in one reliable record.

ProBuilder OS turns the day’s field facts into a dated project record. Capture conditions, people, production, deliveries, issues, and next steps, then deliberately publish a simpler progress update when the client should see it.

  • Record weather, worker count, completed work, deliveries, issues, and next steps
  • Keep every dated log attached to the active project
  • Share completed work and next steps without exposing internal field detail

A dependable field record

Yesterday’s jobsite details should not depend on memory.

Daily reporting becomes valuable when it is fast enough to complete, consistent enough to compare, and attached to the project where the team already works. ProBuilder OS captures the essential facts without pretending every internal condition belongs in a homeowner update.

01

The day stays factual

Record the date, weather, worker count, completed work, delivered materials, issues, and next steps in a consistent structure.

02

The log stays with the job

Keep the field record in the same project history as tasks, schedule commitments, files, finances, and responsible people.

03

Client visibility stays intentional

Authorized project leaders can publish completed work and next steps while crew counts, materials, weather, and internal issues remain private.

Connected capabilities

Everything important stays attached to the work.

Use focused workflows for each responsibility without creating another isolated source of truth.

01

Dated daily log

Create a structured field entry for the correct project and work date instead of relying on an unsearchable text thread.

02

Conditions and manpower

Capture weather conditions and the total number of workers on site as factual context for the day.

03

Production and deliveries

Summarize completed work and record materials delivered so progress and near-term readiness remain clear.

04

Issues and next steps

Document current problems or confirm there were none, then state what should happen next.

05

Project history

Review daily logs in the active project beside the operating record used by the office and authorized field team.

06

Client-safe progress update

Choose whether to publish a limited update containing completed work and next steps to the protected client experience.

Daily reporting workflow

Record the day once, then share only what belongs outside the team.

The complete daily log remains useful to the builder while a controlled client-facing summary communicates progress without exposing unrelated internal operations.

Start this workflow in ProBuilder OS
  1. 1

    Choose the project and date

Start the daily report from the active project so the field record cannot drift away from its job.

  2. 2

    Capture the essential facts

Enter weather, worker count, completed work, delivered materials, issues, and the next planned steps.

  3. 3

    Set the visibility boundary

Keep the full log internal or publish a client-safe summary when the project owner or manager authorizes it.

  4. 4

    Use the record tomorrow

Return to the project history to verify progress, understand unresolved items, and coordinate the next day’s work.

The operating difference

Move from scattered field recollection to a consistent project history.

Before

Work gets reconstructed.

  • Site details disappear into calls and group texts
  • Crew, delivery, and issue context is incomplete
  • Client updates expose too much or say too little
  • Tomorrow starts without a reliable written baseline
With ProBuilder OS

The record moves with the job.

  • One dated structure captures the essential facts
  • Each log remains connected to its project
  • Client-safe updates have an explicit boundary
  • Next steps remain visible after the day ends

Product rollout clarity

Questions, answered

What contractors should know.

What should a construction daily report include?

A useful daily report records the project and date, weather or site conditions, people on site, work completed, deliveries, issues or delays, and the next planned steps. Some contractors also track equipment, inspections, safety activity, photos, and signatures; those expanded fields are not all part of the current ProBuilder OS daily log.

Is a construction daily report the same as a daily log?

The terms are commonly used for the same dated field record. ProBuilder OS calls the current feature a daily log and uses it to capture the essential facts of a project day.

What information can a client see from a daily log?

Only an authorized user can publish the update. When published, the client sees completed work and next steps. Weather, worker count, delivered materials, and internal issues remain in the builder workspace.

Can I attach photos or files directly to a daily log?

Not yet. Secure photos, videos, and documents can be stored on the project and deliberately shared with the client, but direct attachments to an individual daily log are planned.

Can crews create daily reports offline or in the Pro mobile app?

Not yet. Current daily-log entry is part of the authenticated web workspace. Pro mobile daily-log entry, offline queuing, and automatic weather are planned capabilities rather than current claims.
